Chris Griffin
Chief Executive of the Museum of Brands,
Packaging and Advertising, Chris Griffin completed
the Art Foundation course at Bradford College of
Art in 1976.
Chris is Managing Director of pi group, the
brand agency pi global which creates and
maintains many global fmcg brands and
pi3 the founders of structural packaging
innovation. Chris is also Chief Executive
of the Museum of Brands, Packaging and
Advertising in London’s Notting Hill. The
Museum presents brands from Victorian
times through to the present day and is a ‘must’ visit for professionals, students and
the general public.
He also runs pi global
publishing, is a Director of The Marketing
Society, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Art
and the Institute of Packaging.

school to suddenly doing what I enjoyed,
all day, every day, and to have music while
working was amazing, even though it was
Radio 3 in Martin Grosse’s studio.”
Chris then took a degree in industrial
design at Sheffield and spent 4 years in
creative structural packaging with Metal
Box. Following a management buyout,
Chris co-founded the pi group in 1984.
In 2002 Chris founded MarketAid to
facilitate senior marketers giving their time
and experience to charities. MarketAid has
managed around 40 assignments to date
and is due to launch on a much larger scale
during 2009.
Chris was Institute of Packaging (IOP) Innovator of the Year in 1992 and received an IOP Special Award for Services to the Packaging Industry in 2006.
